3D Graphics Programmer – Ref: HG-GP-001

As a 3D Graphics Programmer, you will be responsible for graphical quality of high profile game titles, implement and maintain new rendering solutions, implement custom shaders for in-game special effects, write robust maintainable code, provide support to other team members.

Required skills:
  • 5+ years of programming experience (Strong knowledge of C++)
  • 3+ years developing commercial games
  • 2+ years in 3D rendering algorithms (Strong 3D math skills)
  • DirectX and/or OpenGL
  • Experience using Shaders
  • Console development experience – ideally Xbox or PS3, but Wii and other consoles also valuable
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Math or demonstrated applicable equivalent experience
  • Motivated, with a passion for video games
Nice to haves:
  • Animation programming experience
  • Experience with physics and modeling
  • Unreal development experience
  • Object-oriented design experience – UML, Design Patterns

Video Games Generalist Programmer – Ref: HG-VGP-003

As a Video Games Generalist Programmer, you will be exposed to and work on various software systems in developing games on various consoles.

Required skills:
  • 5+ years of programming experience (Strong knowledge of C++)
  • 1+ years developing commercial games
  • Console development experience – ideally Xbox or PS3, but Wii and other consoles also valuable
  • Multi-threaded programming experience
  • Object-oriented design/development experience – UML an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science of Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Motivated, with a passion for video games

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of basic computer graphics
  • Multiplatform programming
  • Embedded system programming
  • Unreal development experience

  • Visual Arts degree or equivalent experience in the computer graphics industry
  • 3 + years of experience using 3DS Max and Character Studio or equivalent 3D tools
  • Strong grasp of modeling, rigging, mapping and texturing of organic and non-organic 3D meshes
  • Knowledge of classical and 3D animation principles
  • A passion for games

Lead Game Developer – Ref: BH-LDA-001

As a lead developer, you will be key to the quality of the game’s programming, and the player’s experience.

Required skills:
  • work with production team to drive the implementation of the project’s technical vision
  • work in conjunction with designers and artists to shape/mould game play and user experiences
  • implement game play-related functionality including AI, controls, interfaces, game rules, etc.
  • desire/ability to work in a team environment
  • strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • passionate gamer and creative problem solver
  • plan work schedules and resources as well as report project status to upper management to ensure on-time delivery of assets
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years programming experience using C++, and a good understanding of code portability
  • Experience with Windows development environment
  • Experience with DirectX, user-interface programming, and/or network programming
  • Solid math skills, linear algebra, trig, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Previously part of a team that shipped at least one commercial product
  • Experience with console programming (PSN, Xbox, other consoles or embedded systems)
  • Experience designing and implementing user interfaces

Successful applicants will be responsible to modeling and texturing level assets, working closely with the design team in the construction and design of game levels.

  • 3 + years of experience using 3DS Max or equivalent 3D tools
  • 3 + years of experience using UnrealEd or equivalent level design tools

  • Strong grasp of the principles of level design
  • A passion for games

  • 3+ Years serving a design role in the games industry
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent grasp of the principles of level design
  • Experience in the platforming genre a big plus
  • 3D Modeling experience a big plus
